Greetings to our 2012 Powisset Farm CSA members!

It's incredible to think that we're only three weeks away from our first harvests of our sixth season here at Powisset Farm! Our 2012 season has been off to a tremendous start already! Nearly half of our 11 acres are planted full of rows of potatoes, carrots, beets, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, onions, and more! Our rows of strawberries are full of blossoms and baby strawberries, eager to ripen. Today we'll trellis our 15 rows of peas in our pick-your-own field, and our 10 beds of favas (double what we have grown in the past) are getting taller by the minute!

Each night, as I walk my dog Henry around the perimeter of the fields, I wonder at the growth of these fields, this farm, and this community, let alone how fast those beets are growing! I am honored to be able to lead this farm into it’s sixth season of production and am looking forward to that first week of June when we get to welcome you all to the fields once again – to share with us in the beautiful bounty that will come this season.
