Breaking
bread at Powisset
Please
join us this Monday, April 6th from 5:30-7pm at the Powisset Farm
Kitchen for an informational event about the Walk for Hunger and the work that
Project Bread is doing throughout the state to address food insecurity. Learn how you can be a part of supporting
their work by joining the Powisset Farm Walk team!
There
will
be two presenters from Project Bread at the farm to share information
with us about the important work that is happening across the state and
how our Powisset Farm community can become more involved in that good
work. As a bonus, we will break ‘bread’
together—well, actually, biscuits—as one of our wonderful volunteers will be
making her award winning biscuits! Come
to learn about the Walk for Hunger and joining Team Powisset! Stay to share delicious biscuits with friends
at the farm!
You
will hopefully walk away with a better understanding of Project bread and how
you can support their work towards ending hunger in Massachusetts, along with a
world class biscuit recipe that you can make for friends and family, to nourish
and delight them!

Project
Bread in their own words:
On Sunday, May 3rd, our team is proud to be joining in Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger.
Every May, over 40,000 people walk all or part of a 20-mile course through Greater Boston, earning the pledges they’ve collected to support Project Bread’s fresh approach to ending hunger in our state. Together, we raise awareness of the reality of hunger in our state, make a powerful statement about our shared commitment to help people in need, and, importantly, raise funds that make it possible to develop, fund, and facilitate much-needed programs—programs that interrupt the cycle of food insecurity in our communities, programs that provide hope.
By sponsoring our Walk, you help change thousands of lives across our state.
